The one KEY tip from ECHA for this registration deadine is ensuring the identity of the substance is the same as those of other pre-registrants. The ECHA guidance document on substance identification is quite extensive and the job of identifiying the substance for registration should ideally be undertaken by Industry experts.

Registrants advised to update their company information on REACH IT
After the REACH-IT update in November, existing registrants will see who else has registered their substance or successfully submitted an inquiry. ECHA advises all registrants to check the information they have submitted in their dossiers by the end of November to avoid unexpected disclosure of information. Chesar Tool updated
New functionalities are added to ECHA's Chemical Safety Assessment and Reporting tool (Chesar) to better support the preparation of chemical safety reports. After already covering assessment tools for the environment and workers, for the first time, an exposure estimation tool for consumers is included. The ECHA guidance document on the identification and naming of substances under REACH and CLP is a must read for those industry experts who have responsibility for identification of the substance they intend to register by May 2013.
